This wee skirt was something that was needed in my wardrobe! Being perfect for work I knew it would be something that being sewn up I would miss when it was in the washing basket.

The fabric is from a local Salvos in Perth for $2!! When I found it I knew it would be perfect for a skirt, so wben I came across Delphine I knew this fabric was to turn into this. The skirt is lined with some lovely silk mix that I purchased from Berwick St in Soho, London. The colour of the lining is well matched with the main fabric but I also love that I've coordinated a thrifty find with something that is extremely luxurious. 





i am far more advanced with knitting than I am sewing and so Tilly's book (link) is perfectly suited to what i've been looking for in dressmaking. It goes beyond the basics and isn't full of tote bags and cushion covers like so many other beginner dressmaking books.
